My sister sent me this picture the other day. I thought the book lovers on Sitting in the Stacks could relate.
This photo is also timely, since I recently finished a book and am in the process of finishing the review. So, standby for a review of Confederacy of Dunces!
What book left you feeling like the little guy in the photo? What book were you the saddest to finish? Was there a book that actually traumatized you?
For me, I was sad to finish the Harry Potter series and Ray Bradbury’s Dandelion Wine.
Freedom: A Novel and Night of the Twisters traumatized me. The former left me depressed and despondent. The later book scared me. It was required reading in grade school and tornadoes terrified me as a child. Reading Night of the Twisters at night led to many nightmares. Tornadoes are just downright scary! They’re unpredictable!
