Hype or Like

Q1. Time Travel

This is a tough one for me, as I’ve always wanted to time travel to SO MANY places! It’s the curse of being a history buff. In the 20th century — the 1940s and 1960s in either Europe or the U.S. (why not both!). Pre-20th century — Roman rule Scotland to go hang out with my Celtic ancestors. Tudor England, especially during Elizabeth’s reign! Due to Outlander I really want to go to Scotland during the 1800s. OH! And to be in the colonies during the American Revolution.

That’s my Western answer. Non-Western time travel includes Baghdad during it’s golden age. Jerusalem during the Second Temple and again during the early years of Christianity, such as when the Nag Hammadi texts were written. India during The Buddha.

Umm – I’m sure I’ve forgotten something. My one stipulation is that I could successfully disguise myself as a man to be “safer” and more able to travel easily.

Q2. Fictional Place

Obviously Hogwarts!! End of story!

Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, post-apocalyptic Chicago of Divergent, Panem, the other dystopic universe of Jasper Fforde’s Shades of Grey.

What are your answers?

Nice post, Ashley! The 50s and 60s are wonderful choices. You could wear a poodle skirt for the day, and no one would look at you like your were nuts. Tudor England would be a very interesting time to be alive. All of the things that went down during Henry VIII’s reign are so interesting. I loved the TV show, The Tudors.

The bottom of your site says its powered by WordPress, but it doesn’t give me the option to follow you on WP, and it’s not registering my username in the comments.

Honestly, I just want to be there for the life of Elizabeth, watch her grow up.

Thanks for the notice about the comments. I’ve been having issues lately and the comments only just began working again. Is the following option a difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org? I’ll look into fixing what you found.

      Thanks for stopping by!
