When I started Bookstagram in February, I decided to participate in Top 5 Wednesday. Here is the first one! I’ll be cross-posting these on Insta and the blog.
This week’s Top 5 theme is beautiful covers. Here are my top 5….
1. From Here to Eternity by Caitlin Doughty
I’m a sucker for art nouveau style! This cover has the added beauty of the artistic skull.
2. Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
The color scheme of this cover gets me. I LOVE purple so the plum colored sky with the star charts, city skyline, and stylized sun are just 😍.
3. Le Petit Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry
The illustrations by De Saint-Exupéry will always be a favorite.
4. The Garden Angel by Mindy Friddle
No joke — I bought this book based in its cover. I was drawn to its visual tone. Have I read it yet? Nope. But I do like looking at it.
5. Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury
I’m a sucker for nature. That’s it.
Consuming Religion by Kathryn Lofton
I wouldn’t consider this book cover beautiful, but it is intriguing and aesthetically pleasing to me. Plus, I had to include a religion scholarly book.
